Big Banana Coffs Harbour Snow Globe
The first of Australia's giant tourist landmarks, The Big Banana, a concrete sculpture over 40 feet long and 16 feet high, was the early 1960s brainchild of an American who was there to study insect infestations in banana crops. Today it attracts visitors from around the world with the help of rides, ice skating, and bunches of banana-related souvenirs.
